Not sure if you need a Wheel Alignment?

Something as simple as a wheel alignment not only ensures optimal driveability of our beloved cars, but in the long run can end up saving you a lot of money.

An alignment brings our car's suspension into the correct positioning so that our wheels are aligned with one another and the road surface. The best news is a misalignment is relatively easy to spot!

So first let's check our tyres!

You should be able to tell how they are wearing just by looking at them. Tyres should wear evenly on all sides. Uneven or fast tyre wear is a clear sign that your car's alignment is off. To double check, running your hands over them can give you a good indication. If they're uneven, a wheel alignment will help ensure a smooth drive and save you money with longer lasting tyres.

Hot TIP: Removing junk from the boot is an easy step to prevent tyre wear and your car's alignment from being thrown off. Maintaining the recommended air pressure in your tyres is also essential, as under-inflated tyres can cause your vehicle to pull to one side. Avoiding uneven road conditions will also reduce the risk of throwing out your car's alignment. These are all simple steps you can take that don't cost a cent, can save you money in the long run and keep you safer on the roads.

Here is what else you need to look out for - your alignment is probably off if any of the following indicators are present:

  • Your steering wheel isn't centered when driving straight;
  • Your vehicle is pulling to the left or right when driving and/or
  • Your steering wheel vibrates when driving.

If you notice any of the symptoms above or you have problems with handling the vehicle or notice your tyres seem to be wearing unevenly, pop onto Temby Auto Service and we will check over the vehicle to see where the problem lies.
